Seth would be short for a power forward.

I know of at least one old timer whose given name was Seth, not short for anything.

Though if we take Dick as short for Richard, it really could be damn near anything.

I am still waiting for Sunday School to explain where the next generation of kids came from seeing the lack of female sprogs from the Adam and Eve gene-pool, or how that could even work genetically if they did. I did ask at the time and that is when I learned that Catholic School was no place for an inquisitive mind.
