I can sort-of understand "hot vee" engines for boats, makes the exhaust somewhat easier and engine maintenance a lot easier (you're not crawling against hot pipes) but that supercharged thingus just screams all kinds of WTF.

Check out this reverse-flow Nailhead with a front-mounted roots-style supercharger (Potvin setup, likely) with a 4-port injector (Looks like a Scott or Enderle, maybe)
It was the hot-ticket on real race-y flathead Fords too.
