When 949 Racing built their Thunderhill 25H winning Miata, they started by bead blasting the shell. That's when they discovered the bondo'd bullet hole in the middle of the passenger door.

Clem Sparks on here has a story about a rental house he bought ~20 years ago that he filled a dumpster with porn and various sex toys. You couldn't pay me enough to clean that E36 M3 up.
I had a square body C15 that the PO did that. Got a flat & the substituted bottle jack wouldn't get it high enough to get the inflated spare on. Put the flat back on & asked SWMBO for a screwdriver (to let the jack down) & she thought I was going to remove the tag & abandon it...AAA tow truck driver had the same jack. We lifted it off the jack enough that she could put the spare on.
I cut some rust out of a '64 Fairlane Sport Coupe quarter panel between the passenger door jamb and wheel arch. An ounce of weed fell out.
Must have fallen in from rear seat stash or hidey-hole.
It was moldy and skank. I did not imbibe, but a cool find.

I had a Civic once where I found out that the PO had replaced the spare tire with one with a different bolt pattern. And also bought some questionable tires with that batch of dry rotted Chinese valve stems...

Always check the spare tire on vehicles that came with multiple bolt patterns. 4 lug spares in Cobalts with five lug hubs is surprisingly common.
I assume what happens is, Used Car Lot A gets a car, does a look over, notices the spare is missing, calls Junkyard B that they need a spare tire for Y/M/M, and they throw it in without making sure it actually fits the car.
Oh! I forgot the cat...
I have a rental house with a resident cat left by the previous owner. All my guests feed her.
"Patches" has now lived there longer than anyone.
One thing I have never found in a car purchased from California is an air filter. Always an empty housing. What?

Emissions compliant high flow filter. Don't need a CARB sticker for a modified intake.
This is one of many cement creations left scattered around our property when we bought it. I meant for it to go to Goodwill but it only made it as far as my office and just sort of stayed there....
