Man arrested for trying to enter Mullet Festival without paying

NICEVILLE — A man who tried to enter the Mullet Festival without paying the $10 admission fee was arrested.

Niceville Police were called to the vendor parking area at the festival after a man tried to re-enter the event after leaving it, according to an arrest report from the Niceville Police Department.

When the officer approached the man, he smelled “the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person and mouth,” the report stated.

The officer told the man he was being trespassed from the event for illegal entry, but the man refused to leave.

He was eventually arrested and charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing after a warning.

One suspect told deputies he came to the house to "talk her out of it" even though he asked her to buy condoms before he got there.

It's not bad enough going to the childrens home looking to hook up, but to ask the kids to spring for the condoms too. I hope he got beat twice.

Mullet is a tasty, mild white fish as well as a hilarious hairstyle. This festival is in honor of the former.

Still, I can't help but wonder if this lady was on her way home from the Mullet Festival--sounds like about the right speed:

In her defense the side door should lock when you're moving. My uncle's bathroom was right across from the exit and if you confused right and left, which is not hard when you'e had a few, it's easy to go the wrong way.

I don't know which is stupider (sp?). Charging $10 to get into something called a "Mulletfest", being arrested for trying to re-enter something you walked out of (most "events" offer you the ability to re-enter the same day), being accosted by police in a town called NICEVILLE, Fl.

Niceville is right outside the East gate of Eglin AFB. Went to the mullet festival when I was stationed there not knowing that the "mullet" meant both the fish and the hairstyle of most of the locals guys. IMHO, mullet tastes nasty but then I don't like catfish either. The beer was cheap though.
