The good news is I have been putting off fixing something minor on my washer for quite some time. Maybe I'll do it tonight and take a video of how we change those Teflon pads. Probably can't until after the kiddo is in bed, but I'll post it here when it's done.
This place is awesome. So much random knowledge.. freely shared.

it would be shared quickly, too, except for some reason an 8 minute video takes 40 freaking minutes to upload to youtube

OK finally uploaded. My washer is a bit differnet, so i tried to cut out anything irrelevant and explain what you are likely to see to avoid confusion. Just a tip, after you work on anything in your washer, do a test load with you standing right there. No need to put clothes in it. Just make it fill. If it stops filling at some point (you can use lowest setting just to speed up the test) and starts agitating, then you're good. Spin it out and start doing laundry.

Also sorry for bad lighting/camera, i don't have a camera guy or a studio and i'm just using a photo camera.

and I still will!
This week's edition of "where has Tuna been" is brought to you by leadership training, which was out of state and a week long. I flew Delta, which was hilarious. It really was quite good though (the training, not Delta) but now I am back to the swing of things.
We decided to finally get some flooring for the hallway area since we were missing a course of tiles thatc ame up when the subfloor was replaced. We tried to find matching tile, but in the end just bought some bamboo. We thought it would be great to paint the doors and the walls first. When I pulled the old alarm off the wall to patch the hole, I found that this was the second layer of paint and they both were on top of wallpaper. We spent the next 8,302 hours peeling wallpaper, and a few more hours spackling the entire wall to make it like a wall again. We painted the bathroom downstairs last night at the same time as we finished a few more of the tricky spots in the hallway area.
Now onto the van. I'll make a separate thread about that though.

Pulling up tile is hard! I'm over halfway through.
Now look carefully and you can see that there is a piece of cardboard stuck beneath my tile. That's weird.
Now you can see my crappy wall work. The worst thing is that the joint compound is either super soft or the wallboard has lost it's hardness. So it's pretty weak and we'll try and do some beadboard or something around the wall.

All of the tile is gone from the hallway now, though my knees hurt and I hit the sack after midnight.
I also got a big raise at work, so yay!

But that will pay off stuff faster, which will mean truck parts sooner?
