Shoot, scrubbed!!

I was watching the NASA feed on Youtube.  Mom was watching the Discovery channel which had more background data and info leading up to the launch instead of just showing the astronauts in the capsule.  Only problem with the modern tech is that I had to have the sound down on the launch so I wasn't sure what was going on until I realized I could turn on captions.....

Which increased my chance of saying, "Sorry, having internet/headset issues, could you repeat that?"

Crap. Was looking good for launch. Left the office where I've had the NASA feed running on YouTube got home in super fast time to discover it had been scrubbed in that short time.

Yup, they scrubbed it about 2 minutes after we walked onto the beach.

Correct, 3:22 EDT on Saturday. The backup is Sunday at 3:00 EDT. The nature of trying to get to the ISS means the window is instantaneous, you don't get to wait a few minutes.

Thanks, keith- they mentioned a second back up on Sunday, but I didn't see that in the initial news report.

For stuff like that I go straight to the SpaceX or NASA site. SpaceX has the full pre-launch timeline starting at propellant load.

Weather report shows 50%.  It "looks" good.

As noted before, they tend to wait until at late as possible to scrub.

Very little to complain about. Managed to tune in literally at liftoff. Cool stuff!

But seriously, we lost live feed at the exact time stage one touched down?  What are they hiding?

Too many eyes just in case it failed.  And it looked like it was late, too.

You guys haven't watched many Falcon launches, huh? That frequently happens because the blast from the rocket as it lands cuts the signal. Most of the landing footage is replays because of the live feed cutoff. They aren't hiding anything. Hell, they have a "greatest hits" of landing explosions in their own YouTube channel:

I haven't seen a liftoff in many, many years.  When it looked like it was going more horizontal, I got a little nervous.  The landing of the booster back to Earth was almost as cool as the liftoff.

Now we have 17 or so hours to wait for them to link up with the ISS.
