i do a ton of work for/with people with developmental disabilities and never would call them retarded or tards. all the ones i've worked with are downright awesome people and way cooler than most fully functioning adults.
however, i do call other people retarded, mostly when in the work truck and someone pulls out in front of me and jams their brakes because the found the turn they missed the first time, expecting 5 tons of rig to have the same stopping distance as a corvette.

I'm not the one trying to justify using the word. I'm assuming you are posting the definition so you can feel better about any word.
So as long as it gives you an air of superiority, keep justifying and using it.

First off, I'm not sure where you found "Webster's" definition. Here's their website- doesn't show what you showed:
Secondly, however, is that the thread is about the word "tard". You defined the word "retard". They are different words.
"Negroid" is not the same word as "ni__er". Though one is derived from the other, one is a scientific word while the other is patently offensive.
