I have a gas 20" chainsaw, a 40v electric 14" chainsaw, a 9" pole saw that uses the same battery, and a sawzall... I find that I'm using the pole saw for 80% of branch/sapling removal around the house. It's an incredibly handy piece of kit. Otherwise, it's usually the electric chainsaw for dicing up trees. The Gas chainsaw I havent honestly used since I got the electric unit- It still has it's place, but that place is very specific and not frequent.
The sawzall will do the job, sure, but it takes longer and is much more of a pain than either the pole saw or electric chainsaw, IMHO.
