I'm in. I worked with the ACDRA for a number of years. I was co-foster coordinator and saw some awful things. Puppy mill situations are some of the worst. Go get'em Jay.

Up to $1025 on the Yugo now.
Make that $1050....
For those interested in the Yugo I'll keep the current price updated over on the For Sale thread in the classified section going forward rather than muddle up this thread with that bit.
In for $20 courtesy of Dexter the special-needs meth lab. Also willing to offer logistical support on the trip-I'm in Missouri, but about three hours from Mountain Grove.
Best of luck, sir. I've tipped into the hat. I'm not in a position to help other than my meager amount right now, but I'm sporting 4 rescues at home already, so I'm tapped out :)
Since I'm waayyyy out of the way, there's no logistical support either, but please keep us appraised of the situation.
Hey, MO folks. Is anyone near, or can get near Mt Vernon? We have 3 other doggies we've been trying to get transported out of a mill there. We are going to drive them back with us but its about 2 hours west of where we will be, if someone could pick them up and meet us halfway in Springfield (or the whole way if you are up for the drive) it would really help out a lot.
Just a quick update and continuing thanks. We are just over $1700 now plus we have an offer of $1300 on the Yugo and another buyer scraping up a competitive counter offer as we speak. So we will have over $3000 to take to auction. Obviously way more than actual dogs we can fit in the van but we've already arranged with other rescues going to the auction to help sponsor them to get more dogs out and we can always use money for the medical expenses once they are home.
The support of the community has been great and you have proven to my doggie friends why I love my car friends so much.

Are you going THIS weekend? If so, I'm afraid I can't. I'll be officiating at a wedding of another GRM'er a couple of hours away.

I think we've got it sorted at the moment. Thanks though :)
Just saw this...Luke our rescue mutt, Bob the rescue Pom, and Ellie the rescue cat all pitched in $10 each for $30 total.
Good luck with everything
In reply to JThw8: Godspeed young Jedi. Prepared for Dickface mode? Sounds like your going to be surrounded by them. We're pulling for you
In reply to TRoglodyte:
Just passed StLouis. About 2 more hours to the hotel then doggies in the morning.
21 dogs we set free from hell today. Thank you all. Actually many more than that with the other rescues on hand. Details after the 18 hour drive home.
Thanx to you! I threw a few bucks in a hat. You had skin in the game. Godspeed and leave your dickface in Missouri.
1:15am. Outside Indianapolis. We've hit a deer and disabled our car. Waiting on AAA and to see if we can get another rental.
Yeah. So no one is helpful at 1:15. AAA was useless. Avis emergency line said the would tow a new van out from Columbus OH (2 hours away) whey they opened at 10am.
We limped the van to the exit. Rested our eyes a bit and just sent one of our members by taxi to the Indianapolis airport where Avis opens at 5 am. Still 12-14 hours ahead of us today.
You'll need to log in to post.
