Great GoPro stuff here:
I fear this guys daughter is more of a man that I've ever been. Amazing, thanks for posting.
There were a few pucker moments from here in my desk chair.
Cool frickin trail. Nothing too technical, just lots of fun switchbacks. Could ride a trail like that all day
I'd love to ride that trail... all day... every day... pretty tame by modern DH standards (no big drops or huge gap jumps), but looks like tons of fun. watching videos like that make me want to sell all of my project cars are go back to DH'ing.
Here's a video of a local race with a lot more pucker-factor:

It puts me in awe that guys are doing jumps on mountain bikes that Evel Knievel would have never dreamed of trying:

The Red Bull Rampage is simply a nuts event. What those guys are doing now we couldn't have even dreamed of 10-15 years ago when the whole idea of "free riding" started. Back then, there were only a few "pro" free-style riders and most were second-tier DH racers. Now it's an entirely different area of mountain biking from the DH racing scene with few doing both.
Much like professional freestyle MX, those guys are on a first name basis with their orthopedic surgeon...

Guys stare at me funny when I say auto-x is so much easier than DH racing. Many of the same principles apply (braking, late-apex, looking ahead), but the consequences of screwing up are so much greater when racing DH. I hit enough trees in my time to know... and have the berked up shoulders to show for them...
