I am here for a 1/2 day. Drive to Toronto after work and back for Wednesday.
Chris
I was drinking my first holiday beers with my guys at 2 pm on Friday already. Self employed so I get to call the shots. And the crew worked some extra days and banked them so they get two weeks off with pay.
Spent all day yesterday fighting an axle on a Scion that took way longer than it should have, staying up late making tamales- I'm pretty ragged, had to drag myself up an hour earlier than usual to come in for my 8 hours today. Wheeeeeee. Oh yeah, my "assistant" is off today too.
At work, but there is a 18 pound inside round roast in the oven upstairs. Its 10:45, and the beer isn't out yet, but soon...
I actually didn't even know until Friday that i didn't have two 4-day weekends in a row.
I have the next two tuesdays off. How useless.
Yep.
But I took PTO for the rest of the week, so I just work today and New Year's Eve between now and the 2nd...
My girlfriend's company simply shuts down this week through New Year's Day.
Partial day here. Cars still break on holidays and then you have the last minute travelers looking for service.
Pretty dead though. Hopefully I get out early so I can start my 100 mile trek to see the family...in the rain
I am the "Boss" so I worked today and gave my guys time off, they don't know it yet but they get to cover for me during the Rolex.
Nope, I took my last PT day today, and then I'm taking 4 of 6 remaining vacation days for Wednesday through Friday and NYE on Monday.
At work until 4. I didn't even know that working Christmas Eve was a big deal. That's retail for you.
OH yeah. Got off work six am after a double shift and back in again at two pm. Luckily only here for 8 this time. Working again tomorrow. Well, I'm at work. With only seven working days left until I start my new job I'm not going to be busting my ass for a raise/bonus anymore.
We're on our X-mas shutdown from today until Jan. 2nd.
Fiatsler decided to work one 10-hour shift this Friday, and us peasants at Kuka have to follow their schedule, zo I volunteered to work it.
But it's 10 hours of double-time, plus an extra paid vacation day, so I'll use it to buy myself a belated Christmas gift.
<------raises hand.
Here today and tomorrow. So come skiing, so I don't feel like it's a waste of my time.
