Hey yall, I installed a Aussie locker in the rear of my yj yesterday & am going to do the front tomorrow if it doesn't rain. It's a 93 with dana 30 and I was wandering if it has c-clips & I can install it without pulling the carrier, or if I have to pull the ring & all. If anyone has done this if you could give me a time estimate I would appreciate it. The D30 doesn’t have c-clips. But you’ll have to remove the wheel bearings to get the axles out, If I remember correctly, that’s a 1/2” 12-point socket.
Not sure about pulling the carrier though, sorry.
Its been a night or two since I have had mine out but I know there is a dowel pin that you will have to drive out to get the cross pin out. I went ahead and pulled the carrier as easy as it is to get out.
