I hooked up with a girl at summer camp once. She was a bit younger. At the end of camp she gave me a necklace and a cassette single of Winger's "Miles Away."

I never called her again.

Oh and coolest riding of the 80's has to go to Jim Craig (Tom Burlinson) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZBXLYJwgt4

Watching this still makes me want to ride, I have family that does that sort of stuff and participates in cross country mountain races. Maybe once I kick myself back into shape I'll go get a horse from my uncle.

How about the birth of FOX? Without this awesome show, we would have never had the Simpsons.

It's a show of continuous one liner put downs . I still love it.

Al Bundy is my hero and role model. As far as I am concerned, he's the only good thing to emerge from the '80's morass.

The '80's:

C3 and EEC III computer controlled carbs.

Boxy cars with square headlights everywhere.

Parachute pants.

Members Only jackets.

HUGE 'mall hair'.

The original Mario Bros. with that crappy music.

Man, am I glad all that is done with.

I'm actually sporting a members only jacket right now with my newly purchased "Zubaz" t-shirt. Black with neon pink text. I was gonna sport my black/pink zubaz pants today but it was a tad too cold for that.

Hate it or not, if you grew up in the post Atari, pre Sega Genesis days, I know you can hum all of the Mario tunes, including the underground dungeon level.

I was in NYC when I heard this guy's cell go off with that ringer. It perked my ears up like when a dog hears a whistle. I hadn't heard it in years...

You've gotta see this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed4CHkN-Dkw&eurl=http://www.gamepro.com/article/features/206855/the-7-weirdest-super-mario-bros-theme-song-performances/&feature=player_embedded

Guy plays the Mario Bros theme song using an RC car and wine bottles perfecting spaced, perfectly filled with water for pitch, at the exact right speed.

If KITT and this were to have a fight, who would win?

My money is on Jan Micheal Vincent and Ernest Borgnine...
