FIRST 5 lottery cars:

-E63 AMG (for teh everyday hoonage)

-Aston Martin V12 Vantage - the trophy wife. Powder blue like the one Clarkson reviewed on TG, with bronze Volk TE37 wheels. (TE37s look good on ANYTHING in the correct size.)

-DeLorean w/ eRod LS3 crate engine, custom suspension capable of 1.0+ G's, bronze Volk TE37s with acres of tire. time attack type look, carbon splitter and diffuser, like the CTS-V coupe racecar crossed with a DeLorean. NACA ducts somewhere, because racecar.

-Acura NSX w/ AMG V8, painted to match the Brawn BGP-001, big ol' carbon fiber diffuser. Tribute to Brawn GP and J. Button's 2009 championship. (Honda's F1 team in Brackley designed the chassis for what became the BGP-001, switched to Mercedes engines after becoming Brawn GP, so Honda chassis + Mercedes AMG V8 = uber win.)

-Ford '32 roadster, with modern turbo 4- or 6-cyl powerplant. No engine covers, no chrome, no billet, but enough modern technology to piss off the purists. Clean and painted, not a rat-rod look, but not a Foose or Coddington look either. Again, more Volk wheels.

After that it would be nothing but basket case Hondas, Volvos, Mazdas, and some oddballs that I would bring back to life myself.

I've got a serious case of Ferrari lust lately.

I really want a 308 GTB QV in a dark color, even though I don't fit in them and there are better Ferrari choices out there.

A Ferrari Daytona coupe.

A first generation RX 7, just because I never got around to owning one. Preferably dark brown.

In high school, I had a '67 Plymouth Belvedere II hard top that my grandfather bought new. If I could find another with a black bench seat interior and column shift, I'd probably buy it.

I can't think of a fifth.

How much lotto are we talking about here? I think I would have to go find nice, sorted examples of these:

Alpine A310 V6 widebody:

RUF 930 Slantnose:

Some kind of gnarly vintage Land Cruiser like this BJ40:

...and now we start running out of cars which can be bought, and into dumb ideas that large sums of money could potentially make happen. I.e. the good part of this post.

Some sort of hyper-futuristic '70s kit car, in which a gas turbine that drives a generator that drives electric motors at each wheel would be installed: (^^ I know that's not a kit car, but that's the right kind of idea for the looks)

Gull-wing conversion for my Starion (been done!), or maybe an ST185 Celica GT-Four with a V8+RWD swap (been done!) ...or maybe just a really nice SW20 MR2 turbo.

  1. An Aston Martin, not sure which, but they've always struck me as a gentlemen's sports car.
  2. Whatever the new Konigseggeseggegseeggg is, just for the over the top ridiculousness of them.
  3. Ariel Atom, track rat.
  4. Ferrari F40.
  5. The new Audi 2dr, S5? As the DD.

This list is subject to change on any given day.

Assuming there was plenty to go around on things other than cars:

  1. 69 Camaro - don't care about numbers matching, etc., just want a big block to rumble around in.

  2. A completed/sorted Factory Five Cobra replica.

  3. If it was possible to locate a rust free example, a Jeep J10.

  4. Trailblazer SS for the family truckster/tow rig.

  5. A sorted turbo Miata.

1) My '94 turbo Miata, finally re-assembled the way I envision it... And operational.

2) '51 Mercury, stock and black. Simply because my late father had one, but I only got to see it in pictures.

3) '55 Buick Roadmaster, bright red. Same reason as above.

4) '66 Lamborghini 400 gt, in silver metallic. Not exactly the greatest car ever built, but many years ago I got to drive one on a curvy road, and want that feeling back.

5) Porsche 935. The more successful the race history, the better... But I would settle for the "dog" of the bunch.
