So I'm a Californian on vacation in Georgia for two weeks. There is usually much love for Yuengling in the beer threads here so of course, it was pretty much the first thing I bought when I got here. My verdict? I'm sad the west coast doesn't get any and I really wish y'all would share.
Hell we just got it in Ga not that long ago

for a "mass produced" beer it is mighty good. Its my "go to" when I drink beer.
Of course I live in the north east so I've had it a long time now :)
Yeah, hate that we can't get it in OK either.
Supposedly they just bought an old brewery in I think Memphis, so I'm hoping that will open up distribution farther west.

meh, I don't get the hype.
I wish you west-coasters would share the SKA Modus Hoperandi.
Isn't Yingling a Pennsylvania beer?
Shoot me a case of a local micro brew from your area and I'll send some Pa Piss, er.... I mean Yinglingus.

Just a good, clean drinkable session beer.
And cheap. I have one sitting next to me now
Been a while since I've been to California so I don't know what is there but I've been to Hawaii and Alaska recently. Both have a very good beer that is only sold there. Can't remember the name of the Hawaiian beer but the Alaska beer is called Alaskan Amber. I thought it was better than Yuengling and Yuengling is my favorite here.
I once took the tour at Youngling when I lived nearby to Pottstown. It was pretty damn neat for even somebody who is only a casual/social drinker
Doesn't come past Ohio, my buddies have been trying to figure out how to get it here in the IL.

Got that figured out. We're gonna need a car.
Big Enos: That's no problem. Son?

A speedy car.
- Little Enos peels off more bills
Uh, speedier than that.
Big Enos, smiling tersely: Go on, boy.
- Little Enos, muttering: Son of a bitch...
All you need is a Kenworth, a Trans Am and a couple of CBs. Dishy passenger seat occupant optional but recommended.

Alaskan Brewing Co. dristributes their beer in CA, so do both Maui Brewing and Kona Brewing. I believe all three distribute pretty widely. Interestingly Alaskan Amber is actually fashioned as a German Altbier.
Out here in Cali, we're also blessed with breweries like Sierra Nevada, Stone, Lagunitas, North Coast, Russian River, and Lost Abbey.

No, but Yuengling is.
And NOW also brewed in Tampa, FL. They bought the old Stroh's brewery a few years ago. It has become very popular around here.
Last I heard, they are in negotiations to buy a brewery in Memphis. It seems to be going back and forth and nothing new has been mentioned as of late. Being a Pennsylvanian, I like Yuengling Lager but it has to be on tap or in a can. That green skunky bottle doesn't do it any good. Even though they are overshadowed, Black and Tan, Porter and Lord Chesterfield are all good offerings from America's Oldest Brewery.
In reply to thatsnowinnebago:
One of, if not my favorite beer. I guess I'm lucky in that if I drive 1.5 hours east I can buy it in Pa.
Maybe one day we'll be able to buy it here.
BUT THE REALLY GOOD NEWS IS---- We have a family reunion today, and my cousin is bringing mass quantities of it!!!

article said:
D.G. Yuengling and Son will enter the Ohio market later this year — possibly as early as October.
“It’s going to be so exciting,” said Pat Noone, the brewery’s business development manager and the one spearheading the move into the Buckeye State.” The launch in your state is going to be huge. It’s probably going to be the most successful launch in Yuengling’s history.”
Yuengling is the oldest operating brewery in America and has a cult following for its popular brands, which include Traditional Lager, Original Black & Tan, Porter and Lord Chesterfield Ale. The company — which is in 14 states now — isn’t distributed in Ohio, forcing hardcore fans to drive to neighboring Pennsylvania to stock up.
“The reason we haven’t been in the state is because we haven’t had the beer to service the state,” Noone said. “Ohio is one of largest states in the country and in terms of beer consumption, and we needed to make sure that when we did come, we were able to service the state properly.”
The company, based in Pottsville, Pa., is expanding its Mill Creek brewery in Pennsylvania to handle the move into Ohio. Noone recently traveled around the state meeting with potential distributors, retailers and customers.
“The level of excitement across the entire state is high, very high,” he said. “They want us and they can’t wait until we get here.”
The company is shooting for an October launch. It may be later than that, though, depending on the expansion and time involved setting up a distribution network, Noone added. Yuengling is the fourth-largest brewer in the U.S., according to the Brewers Association.

I'm a bit of a beer snob, so i dont drink it that often. But if im at a large gathering for something or tailgating for a game, I very much prefer Yuengling to bud, miller, coors etc...
I do feel the porter is best of their offerings though!

We've got that over here in North Cakalacky, if you know where to shop. Pretty tasty.
I like a Yuengling, but my beer snob friend gives me E36 M3 whenever i drink it, so I always make a point to order one when I go out with her.
Ya don't say (note the avatar, f00!) For novelty's sake, I bring IC and IC light to our Steeler parties, but it pains me to pay a buck a piece for them. I honestly prefer natty light, or certainly Yuengling for the money. IC is plain gross.

As I said I haven't been on the west coast for quite some time now but did grow up there. Going back next year to visit family, I'll have to remember about this. Still sell Henry Winehard in the Northwest? Drank it when it was first sold outside of Oregon when I live in Tacoma.
