I could actually use it for my '66 Chevy truck. Let me see if I can get someone to pick it up in Gainesville.
IS this the T5 version that has the shift location as far forward as possible?
The tail housing is more valuable then the whole trans as it's a non-world class T5.
The shifter location allows trans swaps in some cars that a "normal" T5 wouldn't work in.
It will, with some minor mods, bolt up to any other T5 and moves the shift location more forward.
In reply to jimbbski :
You need more than just the tailshaft housing, but it is easier to just buy a whole trans and use it for parts.

Don't think I will be in Gainesville this year, but it's an easy stop on the way
In reply to SV reX :
Pretty sure that this is the transmission that you need if you want to put a five speed behind the flathead in your A-V8 hotrod.

Was it out of a V6 truck?
Don't know. It came to me as part of a bigger deal

Nice!
I'll be selling the Model A too
I'm working in SE Macon for a couple weeks, and am interested in the t5.
My truck quit at work today, and with 12 hr shifts...
I think it needs a fuel pump.
Im in for more info on the model A, but imagine that is WAY out of my reach!
In reply to 03Panther :
Send me your contact info and I'll buy you lunch!
The Model A will get its own post when I find it (buried behind all this stuff!)
Awesome. I would need to find someone heading up 75 after the challenge who could bring it up.
Any luck identifying the trans more specifically?
thanks.
