LOL, wandered into Hot Bins - the Amazon reject stores - for the first time on Sunday when we had time to kill and it was in the same plaza as our upcoming event.  Everything was $8.  There is was - the Mr Gasket version of the barefoot gas pedal.  I was sooooo tempted.

Forty years ago I bought a Paddy Hopkirk pedal for when I get my Mini Cooper.  It's still in the package waiting......

I never had the gas pedal, but I did have the dimmer switch on my '65 Mustang.

That Paddy Hopkirk pedal is about the same size as the barefoot dimmer switch pedal. Paddy must of had teeny tiny feet . . . I have a barefoot gas pedal going into my '65 Mustang.

Bought a set of rubber barefoot pedal pads for my VW pan/600 Fiat as well. Hopefully I can adapt a second set for the Mustang brake and clutch pedals. Kind of a "Surf's Up" sort of thing I guess.

"I never had the gas pedal, but I did have the dimmer switch on my '65 Mustang."

That dimmer switch barefoot might be a neat "cover" for a dash mounted starter button.
