Looking for a few parts for this years challenge build. I figured it would be worth posting here. below is some of the things im looking for:
LS6, LS7, OR LS9 take out cam.
Good valve springs to use with said cam.
wastegate
BOV
manual boost controller
oil feed and drain lines for turbo
pop lock fittings and tubing
th400
mustang quick release steering wheel
79-04 mustang rear control arms.
3500 stall 10" converter
Like i said it is for a challenge car so if i turn you down based on price please know it is purely because of my budget limitations. i am in orlando and do not mind driving a few hours for some of the bigger items i have listed. especially the th400. Thank you!

Go pull it here in Jacksonville has a 77 Cadillac DeVille. That'll have a BOP 400 trans so you'll need a simple adapter. I can maybe meet you to help. $75 with their discount club membership.
In reply to Stampie :
interesting. ill have to look into it. do you know off hand if those are 400 short shafts?

77 should be short but double check me.
Adapter plate is only 95 bucks so if i can get the trans for 75 i can swing that. For sure.
Can we get a budget of cheap for the parts?

I'm pretty sure they're cheaper ones out there or make your own.

According to this 77 has the short tailshaft.

I'm seeing the adapter all over eBay for $40ish including the bigger names like speedway.
In reply to Stampie :
oh nice. i didnt look hard, i just went to a roadkill source i have because i know they linked some adapter plates.
I have tuesday off next week. depending on your schedule maybe i can come up then and also grab the seat and battery box i got. potentially bring wheels and tires if youre interested. lol

Could have sworn my 78 deville had a loooong caddy th400, but I sold it in 07 so it's been a while since I've been under one. I have the mega long cadillac one in the Wartburg, nothing really wrong with them, it just makes for a short driveshaft
In reply to surfshibby07 :
Don't bother with the bov, is this really only needs to run for the challenge. Or throw a Bosch jy diverter valve off of a vw/Saab.
Manual boost controllers if they are ball and spring are sub 20$ On eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Adjustable-Manual-Car-Turbo-Boost-Valve-Controller-Booster-Kit-Universal-Vehicle/372639067188?hash=item56c304ec34:g:3OQAAOSwO7Nca-1H Just take them apart clean and lube before use.
I have used regular plumbing pipe nipples as oil drains. Super cheap and easy to weld. Just get a piece of cut off( end of roll) hose from your local fittings shop to use as flex section from hard line to oil pan/timing cover/valve cover.
Good luck on the rest.

Thanks! I wound up getting a pretty good deal on a borg warner turbo with a turbosmart bov and gate.
Some of this stuff i crossed off my list after last weeks swap meet.
