hi all. These are actually nocones engines. But they are in my shop.
we keep hearing that these are valuable. So who wants them? Willing to sell the whole pile for $2k or if you just want something specific let me know. If you know someone who races these and needs a stash let me know.
3 of the 4 engines should run, and the 4th sounds like it has one good rotor and one rotor with nothing.

I have a friend that endurance races an FB with a 12A. I just sent him this.
So if three of the engines run, you could, in theory, build at least a six-rotor engine...right?

Yes YOU could. We will not

... are rotaries inherently balanced? What does happen when you make an I6-style rotary?
In reply to Mr_Asa :
Well, there's still the eccentric shaft and each rotor has an "up" and a "down" position. So a two rotor they're 180 degrees out. On a 3/4 rotor I don't know how you'd do it. Like if less than 180deg separation is better or if it should be a 'flat plane eccentric'.
Some people basically put 2,3,4 shorter motors next to each other and chain the cranks together to build the "12 rotor " engines or whatever.
all fun stuff to do if you've got money to burn and vast machine shops at your disposal.

I was thinking, for the six rotor, just set them 120° off from each other like a normal I6. The pairs in an I6 are 180 out from each other. You probably wouldn't have the standard 153624 firing order, though.

Don't leave anything at Robbie's shop. He'll sell it!

Yes. I will. And then instead of sending you money I'll threaten to send a car home with you instead.

Wanna store a turbo Dodge motor for me?

Coming through St Pete last night I was passed by a ratty-ass SRT4. So there's at least 1 potential buyer in the TB area.
I race these and need a stash. The wallet is spongy and bruised with the recent acquisition of a house shaped thing though...
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
I just sent you a pm - let me know if you don't get it.
I'd really love to build a motorcycle around one of these. The transmission would be a real challenge, though.
I wish I could take these. My GLC shell is already set up for one.

Aren't Harley transmissions separate? Just use one of those!
In reply to Robbie (Forum Supporter) :
That would be fun.
Are there any transmissions with the engines?

There is one and 3 flywheels/clutches.
The trans was modified with a shortened shifter for the MG but a normal length shifter is included. I did cut off one of the shifter housing mount bungs but it's a front one and would not be likely to affect anything.

Also of note is the 12A is incredibly easy to run in a non factory application. The ignitors for the coils are right on the distributor so the wiring to make one run is basically 12V, Ground, Ignition, and Start. A simple harness is included that ran the engine on the stand and also is what ran the engine when it was in the MG.
