I am in need of 1 or 2 headlight motors. Any headlight motor should work but they need to park at 90 or 180 degrees in rotation. Ideally they would be the kind that have internal up/down switches so their external wireing is a simple switch. Miata ones would be ideal but I understand they are in high demand.
This is for a challenge car for science so cheaper is better.

There were a couple of miati in the yard last week. Maybe I could get out there Saturday.
Checked their price list and for two you're looking at $40ish plus shipping. Is that within your Challenge budget?
Are they really in high demand? They're pretty much bombproof, so it would seem the junkyard supply would outstrip demand. I'd hit up the usual suspects for used Miata parts or someone who has spare Miatas. I would have had a fair set a couple of months ago but the car was given away.
$40+ shipping is to much. Thanks for checking though.
It's for a completely optional unecessary thing *cough* DRS *cough*. I am going to be tight on budget so I'm hoping for "get these out of my garage I'm tired of moving them I don't even have this car anymore and I didn't really need them anyway".
Timeframe? I can look in my garage and see what I have. There's gotta be at least one set in there somewhere.
Electric seat adjusters can be pretty simple linear actuators that are built such that stalling them out doesn't really hurt them. I remember looking at some ($11 new, 10 years ago) to close dust flaps on a telescope. Could be a pretty cheap JY part. I went a different route for my design, but I remember playing with one.

Understand. If I get a chance I'll look through Lil Bastard's parts stash and see if it has any.
I'll keep an eye out for any 240SX ones locally.
or you could just get a bowling ball...
