Air Oil Seperator

I put an air oil separator on my autocross car. It has two small diameter nipples which I understood were for a coolant source and coolant return.

When I started the engine coolant came out of the bottom drain hose when I opened the valve. What is this happening?

And what am I doing wrong?

Some separators are heated to prevent condensation from collecting in them and contaminating the oil.

JSC76 what separator are you using?

As in, ones that drain back to the crankcase? I guess that makes a little sense.

I've only ever dealt with ones that their entire point was to get things to condense, and then drain separately.

Those aren't necessarily know for quality.  My first guess is that the unit is defective.

Looks like a Radium knockoff. They even left Radium's logo in the installation diagram...oops. If the coolant ports are hooked up correctly, maybe it's leaking coolant internally.
