I was planning on running a full field of stock MINIs around the smallest Long Beach track for 20 minutes or so. Could get interesting.
Mine wouldn't Thursday, but Friday it was downloaded and installed before I could even start the game. Haven't played it yet.
I finally got to really sit down and play it at a friend's house(I'm still too cheap to buy a console) And am actually somewhat impressed with the visuals, sounds, tracks....but I'm going to have to go with a wheel setup this time as unfortunately, the One's controller has triggers that seem to have E36 M3ty feel/smaller range to them. I say that even though I was posting top 2000 LB times in A class..... I'll probably have one before xmas or in the beginning of '15.
In reply to yamaha (and anyone else reading this thread):
Next time you play, try adjusting the controller's deadzone settings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMlQvDRibn4&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PLjHvEGQ9G8hS8610yVfbSLlQ-75iqbnrl
Essentially, you'll remove the controller's deadzones by setting the range on everything (except the clutch) from 0-100.
In reply to barrowcadbury:
The triggers just felt like they had no range in general......the pull is about 1/3rd of the 360 controller.
Apparently they just released the 'Ring for free today for F5. I might have to run a few laps after work.
Indeed, is released. Along with a car pack including a '30s Alfa Romeo GP car, 1967 Brabham F1 Car, Lotus 11, an '80s Audi IMSA car and a modern Formula Ford!
Top it all off... Nurburgring includes three variations: Nordschleife, GP-Strecke, and 24 Hours (combined).
Long beach was nice but damn, the Nurb coming out of no where is the icing on the cake and these car packs are just insane! Playing the E36 M3 out of it lately haha
Yeah the deadzones are all wrong and setting them to 0-100 or 2-98 even is a 180 degree difference. Much more controllable. Now all we need is for us to get together and start a nice series lol

That makes me want to get this game now.
I wish it had more variety of pedestrian cars. The thing I liked about the GT series on PS is they have more variety of older "normal" cars. Ie. non-gtr skylines, Z31 300zx, 280zx, AW11 non-supercharged, non-turbo Silvia, 90s and pre-90s audis that is not just the urquattro, etc. Forza usually has 1 car per 1 trim and that's it unless they are different versions of supercars and when I heard this version had even less I was less than enthused. If they are going to keep adding interesting cars like this I need to get it.
I'd like to invite you guys to come give TORA a chance. Some great racers and tight rules provide some epic races. And there's a growing list of US Prime Time events for Forza 5, including Touring Cars, Formula E, and coming in January: Indycars.

Anyone here still on XB1/FM5? Want to do some Vintage Trans Am racing?
I am helping set up just such a thing on TORA, using spec builds and four cars to choose from: Mustang, Camaro, Challenger and Javelin.
