That is a nice car Argo. You are in a bit of a difficult situation with the plates though (black plates are thing now). I suspect you will loose them if you register it in Nevada, I don't know. Can you re-use plates from a state it used to be registered in?

Yeah, they are the original 1963 stamped black plates. I registered it with classic plates in Nevada. Nevada is pretty laid back. I keep the California black plates on it and toss the Nevada plate in the back seat. No issues.
Oh, nice. Strangely enough, I joined in on a Bay Area Corvair club meeting tonight and asked if they know of the car, and one of the long time guys (Seth Emerson) knew the car and helped the guy selling it. He said it was his wife's car and she stopped driving it. He said some guy in Reno bought it....
He also said it was an automatic. Make SURE you have a good emergency brake cable. Probably a good idea to keeps some chocks in the car. If the e-brake fails, there is no way to keep the car from rolling when parked!
I have been working on the new server computer today. It is up and running but now I have a lot of updating to do to it so if anyone is on tonight you may see two GRM servers
You all should see two GRM servers now. One is group A and C cars on the server we have been using and the OLOA is running on the new server.
The IP address is the same for the new server that is running the OLOA. The port is 8082 for the new server.

Yes, it is a Powerglide 110hp. Would have rather had the 4 speed but at least my wife can drive it. It's a cruiser not a racer. eBrake cable is good. Seth put me in touch with the seller. Interesting guy. He showed me an album of all the many sports cars he had owned over his 90+ years. He made two mods to the car: an aluminum oil pan to stop the leaks from the stamped steel one and disc brakes on the front.
More updates today so the servers will be up and down today.
New server is up but not working right. I see it locally but on Kunos it is there but you can not get any info on it. May want to pick peoples brains on why
Ok figured out things and you should now see both servers. Turns out that the http port listed in the game you set up as a TCP port in both the windows firewall on the computer and on both inbound and outbound ports on the Verizon router and assigning that specific port to the ip of that specific PC.
I really need to do a Wright up for this as once again I found a very quick abscure reference in an otherwise useless YouTube video.
One of the issues with setting up a Assetto Corsa server is that the game predates windows 10 security so there is no real good documentation for making the game play nice with it.
You will now see two servers on Kunos if you are searching for GRM. I put up the One Lap Of America Brad Mini Server and a server that I had saved the configuration with group A and group C cars.
The 8081 port server is the original that we have been using for a year and a half. That server has the group A&C cars.
The 8082 port server is the new computer. It has a lot better power supply it has an EVGA 850 platinum unit and twice the ram that the old machine has. The cpu is also faster but with half the cores. AC server only requires 2 cores but I dedicate 4 cores so that is a non-issue as the CPU is an 8 core 2700x. The old server is a 3700x with 16 cores. It has an NVidia 970 card in it so in theory, I could play AC on it if I wanted but it is built for server duty and not really for gaming on.
From the server-side of things for optimal performance, you want about 1gb of ram per person playing on the server plus what is needed for the OS and the other background stuff. On the old server, I only had 16GB and I would regularly see 12 GB being used. It was never really a problem but now we have a bunch more headroom.
If anyone has a moment can they take a look and see if they can see both servers?
I can never seem to find the servers via the server list. I do show the Group A server in my recents.
I think these servers can only be connected to via the IP. What I did is go to Favorites, then add the servers :8081 and :8021 via the IP. This is probably the best way to go.
I now show, and can connect to, both servers. I had to add the super secret password to the second server of course.
Air it is 8081 and 8082. Not 8021
Pro and racer brick were on tonight and no issues I can add an invite to here or the discord tomorow to both servers.
Also pro updated the 944 cup car with the correct gears and it is much better. I also think it needs about a 10 percent increase in Hp. It looks like who ever modeled the car used the base street cup car numbers where as the race car version would have been chipped headers and exhaust. They could have shimmed wast gates as well but that is not legal in the series. Basically take a cup car off the showroom floor and then prep it to scca IT spec.
Oh and talking to Racerbrick last night his wagon is indeed a LS-powered 500+ hp Volvo wagon on coil overs so we can have some fun with that LOL
I just noticed that today is 80 days until the start of OLOA. I think I might start panicking.
I'm out for tonight. Had a work issue spin up last night, I've been up working nonstop since 5am yesterday morning.
More reason to push the start until next week.
I believe we will do the 944's tonight. Is there an updated car? What track?
There is one with updated ratios.
Dean asked for more power, I can make a quick update tonight. I'll probably just bump the wastegate pressure up a bit.
Next week we will be starting the Brad Mini Series. Both servers have it up. You will need the most recent car pack for the mini that Air put up on the Google drive.
Car livery's have been made and assigned.
I will try and do a quick livery update by this weekend to add some more just in case. I will let you know when it is ready.
