Last time I raced here Sauce and I tangled and I went so far in to the wheat field I was lost. 🤪😁

I missed this. Yes any time any race. Does not matter.
I had a great time last night. Some great close racing. I need to go back and see what happened on the first lap of the 2nd race. I somehow ended up in 3rd I think. Then I screwed up and went back to 5th. But still fun.
Had a lot of fun last night. First race was looking like it was going to be a close one, I got a great launch and and had a solid first lap, but still had Gameboy and Rodan less than a second behind after lap 1. However, contact between them on lap 2 combined with early incidents for others left me pretty much alone.
Second race was fantastic though, especially the second half trying to chase down Rodan. He was hauling with a fast lap 3 tenths faster than qualifying and 6 tenths faster than practice, and to catch that I also had to be trying to run quali laps the entire time. I was catching him slowly but not fast enough until the tires really started to fall off for both of us in the last couple laps, and I think due to my car being more forgiving I was losing a bit less time. The last lap was.... not the finest driving from either of us. There was no contact, but we were both trying way too hard and making mistakes all over the place, slides, dropping tires off the track, etc. It culminated in both of us sending it too hard in the last sweeper and independently ending up off track: me understeering off the outside and him snap oversteering into the infield. Definitely not the finish we wanted given how tense the battle had been for a few laps, but it was a blast up until that.

Yeah, I am excited to analyze the ending of that 2nd race. Using the replay feature I mean.
A little late for a Goodwood motivational watch, but just stumbled onto this today, and it's pretty much on point...
Oh I forgot. We need a recording of the Bridghampton races. If anyone has them saved let us know. Air needs them for the video.
Some observations after the race and watching the video above:
- It's fun to recognize the corners, and the concerns with them
- Yup, the Cobra is super twitchy!
- We suck at driving in traffic!
Although, I think the difference between the video an us include:
- The situational awareness in virtual racing is still far lower than in real driving
- Their cars are worth millions (ours are worth zero) and are far more motivated to not hit each other!

I uploaded what I have to the share last night, in the replays directory.

Consider it payback for past torpedoeings...
I did watch the replay, and while the contact was definitely on me, it's interesting how different things look on replay than they do in the car. I would have sworn my front wheel was at your door, but you can also see that I started braking, which I don't even remember. I think there's a combination of viewpoints, ping interaction, and hit box variations that contribute to variations between what drivers see in real time from their individual perspective, and what the replays show.
Going back to what Air said above, we definitely suck at driving in traffic, but IMHO the distortion of the simulation is a big contributor.

1:00:11 A live view if it helps at all. Gotta learn to zoom out when something like that happens lol.
