Welp, that was an interesting race.
My "incident" with Air was unfortunate. I probably should not have tried to thread the needle. I am going with the it was blocking story. . . . Yep, that is how I saw it. . . .
I just droped a tire and it kicked me in to Air. It was just a little tap but that was all it took. Air left me just enough room less about 2 inches.
As for Pro piling in. That was just funny.. . . Not for Pro and especially not for Air but from my perspective I was hard on the binders and I was mirror watching to see what / where Air was and all fo a sudden I see Pro coming in like a freight train. It certainly made any chance of Air making any kind of recovery impossible and then I think some one else got caught up in that aftermath.
I had a good race with Pro at the end of the 2nd race. He caught me on the last lap and I bet if there had been one more lap he would have got by.
There have been a track change for next week. See the announcement that Pro has put up on the discord.
The first ~two laps of the first race should have some close racing between Pro, Sauce and I... hopefully it will make the highlights. 09Unwound's coverage cut away just as things were getting interesting, taking on all the traits of a professional broadcast! LOL, just kidding, love the coverage.

Haha yeah I noticed from the leaderboard. There was (I dont often say this) A lot of action all around. Now to make it more intense (kidding) I wish I had some time to analyze the big crashes every week for a video.
Yeah, I need to get back into the highlights, these "bad" tracks make for great replays!
Of note. Next week "would" have been some great replays, but nooooo... we have to go with safe. It had a jump! for F's sake... that would have been fun!! And stone walls, and trees... fun!!
I mean, this is REAL man racing! As in, you race, you hit a giant boulder in a car with no fuel cell!... you die!!... and that's the way we liked it!!!
Does this not entertain you? (heck, I can even comb through the replays and count how many crashes likely would have been fatal! Fun!)
If you want to be SAFE (pah!), you can slow down for the jump.... and have Dean torpedo you from behind.. but that is what you will deserve! for driving like a little girl!!
Notice this fellow racing past a farmhouse and a stack of wood.. at 100 mph, with almost no brakes!
Did we just switch out the order, or was Bremgarten eliminated? I'm game, either way... looks like fun!
Although I don't think a real-life Alfa 33 would be driveable after landing that jump...
It's off the list. Last 2 tracks are TBD, but pressure is on the leadership council to make up their mind.
my vote is Sebring and Watkins Glen
Rodan said:Can we have Bremgarten back? Monza is BORING AS BERKELEY.
Back in the day, we raced boring tracks and sometimes ran into trees and boulders and houses and died.
And that's the way we liked it!!

I didn't mean to imply Monza isn't challenging (or dangerous, IRL), but that isn't the same as interesting or fun to drive.
Finally have the highlights for Bridgehampton (a bit of a special one). I never got the 1st race (since I did not attend), so this is only the second race.

LOL... wasn't ever really a huge SNL fan, but I'm definitely a grumpy old man.

Like the slow motion cuts you put in this one air!!!
Yeah, nice work Zack Snyder!
Edited due to me mixing up tracks:
Everyone ready for tonight. This is a very fast track!!! I got some laps in last night and while it is very fast it is also very technical.
If you have not run Monza in this configuration give your self a bit more practice time. The corner markers are very small!! And the speeds you are hitting I have see 165-170 mph on a lap where I get corner exits perfect.
@Pro. Yes you can take that corner flat but you have to be perfect. I figured out how to do it after you left.

Uh, aren't we running Monza tonight??
Another bit of news. I invested in a new machine to replace the current server. I will most likely try setting it up as a headless Linux based machine. With this I can give various people access to it both at a server admin level and at the game control level.
This is not something that will happen fast. I have a lot to learn as Linux is a new thing for me.
Maybe we start testing in a month?

Yes sorry I am a bit scattered brain today.

Ok vote time. Do we run Bermgarten as the last race?
No worries.
The Ferrari is terrible at Monza, which is ironic... LOL. I tried the Bizz, and in 2 laps was going over a second faster than the Ferrari with 20 laps.
