I didn't mean to vanish, I just got kicked from the room and if I rejoined wouldn't have chat and decided to just call it a night.

My test result came back negative this evening, so I guess I din't have a case if the covids. Not sure why I've been congested and coughing for just about 2 weeks, but I should regain free passage in the house, so will be back on the PS4 soon.
The street Corvette was a nice driving car. The Lambo that Dean and I were driving was similar to the Vett but a bit easier (not as much input needed) to drive.

I'd recommend that someone else try it and provide feedback. I found it hilarious just how much speed it can carry, but it isn't necessarily an easy car to drive. For whoever tests it I recommend pushing the brake bias slightly forward (I think I did 2 clicks, and this can be done on the fly), and do not hit curbs, at least not the type that Willow Springs has, small curbs might be OK. The last piece of advice: it is a pure aero car, however fast you think you can go through a corner, you can go faster. By the end of the race at Willow I was taking T1 flat in 5th at about 140mph and I'm sure it had more in it, but I could stay on track even if I missed my line slightly.
Dean, check out the hot links thread, Bridgehampton shots.
Still waiting for a decent track editor in one of these games. I could have done a good version of that track in GT4 if they had some control over elevation.
Ginetta is a hoot to drive. The aero is amazing. Very well balanced car. I am not fast with it compared to Sauce but it is a good car.
Seeeee..... I was entirely reasonable in my Miata flying routine....
The Bridgehampton shots start about the middle of this page:
with some more scattered in on latter pages.

I put a Dean gift in the series. We'll see if he notices.
So..PC2. What do I need to run it? I thought I saw someone say they were running it on a console instead of a dedicated gaming rig?
I miss y'all.
If you was to race with this group you need a ps4. There is a PC version but I don't think it is cross platform.
Brad I was testing the AI and found turning the aggression down to 15 and there skill set at 100 made them much better to race with. I think I would turn the skill up to 105.

Cool. Good news for you, there is not AI in this series.

Just a PS4 with the online PS+ subscription. You'll also likely want a compatible wheel, I couldn't imagine trying to play this game with a controller.
I think for this series, I am going to try it Airstyle. Meaning no practicing. I'm not a fan of fixed setups because I find messing around with the setup for a car/track/conditions combo to be one of the more fun parts of the game. I'm not sure I know the first track at all, but I'll find out Wednesday.
Tried it tonight and track limits are going to drive people crazy. The chicane limits are extremely strict and you can not slow down enough to before the next corner to not get the penalty as the warning comes just befor you get to the next corner.
Fuel is going to be fun due to the default setup but I will not give away everything I learned tonight.
You'll need to log in to post.
