My main problem was just a lack of holding focus. It was a good race. My rear tires got a bit more greasy than in practice but nothing that I should have been able to handle.
Great drive on Sauces part!!!

Monaco at night in the rain should be read as Nurburgring GP.

Road America looks like it will be fun. It seems a bit easier than it was with the GT1 cars since these GTE cars are slower. Working on my setup, but it seems like a decent Bathurst setup with some minor tweaks will work fairly well.
My tune definitely needs some work. I made some changes that worked well with high fuel loads, but I didn't have time to do any long run testing and it turned out to be diabolical in the middle of the race. Oddly it settled down after 3-4 laps and got both super easy to drive and faster than it had any right to be on worn tires.
I'm mildly annoyed with myself for not reverting back to an earlier tune. I had some issues with the car in qualifying on mid to low fuel that should have been an indication that there were problems, but alas.

Correct. It was the punishment for Air not getting his track in on time.
Not even going to bother racing that race. I don’t like the track. I hate rain in this game and add night and i have better things to do with my time.
Ahhh I see now that makes more sense. Sauce suddenly finding the handeling in the bmw has me worried for future races.
Similar to what we saw with the GT1 cars, the AIs are very fast through the kink and you have to be very careful when trying to pass at the sharp left (T5) because they will turn in on you and take you out. T6 and T8 seem like better places to pass AIs.
Note: turn numbers are from official track map. I would call these T3, T4 and T6. Looks like they officially count the slight bend between T1 and the 2nd real turn as T2 and they count the slight bend on the first long straight as T4. Never know about Wisconsin.
Don't know schedule exactly but I am thinking of trying to get some laps in tonight if others are around.
Sounds good. I may be on a bit this evening as well.
EDIT: I think I am close on setup and just need to be able to make it 30 mins without an off.
This is a tough track for me. I have never got in to the groove on this track. I have been fast at it every now and then but then it goes away. It is like the cars balance just goes away and I don’t have confidence in the car.
Good practice with TJ. I think I got the car dialed in. Lots of aero testing and gearing tests as this track has a bunch of places where you can gain a lot if you are in the correct gear.
Tires are a real conundrum but I think I have come to a compromise that works with the aero and suspension I have settled on.
Now I just need to make the driver better.
The really interesting part is the lap times are almost the same as Bathurst.
I am questionable for Wed. My wife is in the hospital with a heart issue. They are doing a heart catheter in the morning to see what is what.

Thanks.
Hoping all goes well.
I messed with my gearing a bit tonight and you were right, it is worth spending some time to get it optimized. I got about a second.
Too bad the BMW only has 6 ratios to choose from.
Among other things getting the gears set up to get the best run up the front strait is key. I was bogging on the up hill due to the ratios not being right.
Yeah. Good news is she didn’t have a heart attack. Bad news is that she has broken heart syndrome. Much better than having clogged arteries, but still worrisome although not really life threatening. Basically like a heart attack caused by stress with no blockage or other physical issue with the heart.
Glad that she is back home, TJ.
Nice to be at a familiar track for my season 'finale'. It even looks like driver's school as we were always out on track early in the morning. I ran a few laps to get a base setup. The Ford is really good here, especially in the Carousel and Kink. Flat in the Kink is no sweat. I should be able to get it sorted out the rest of the way in practice tomorrow. Brakes still need work. I don't really know if it's fast but it feels good.
Good news TJ.
I have the ability to hand out a few special prizes that you guys might find pretty valuable. I only have 3 available and was thinking they would be a good season prize (if we want to concede one to Sauce), but they can only be used next month, so a podium prize for tonight seems like a good idea (especially since everyone is around).
Remind me to go into details tonight and we can discuss.
Good motivation to practice.
