Sitting on the side of the road with a flat tire on the Harley.
Brand new tire and inner tube, too, because the last tire went flat about half a mile from here.
I iz not happy bunny.

Possibly another nail or screw in the tire. Can't see anything but it looks like the tire itself moved on the rim. Tire and tube have only about 30 miles on them, too.
Got a free Bronco ride out of it, but at least I got it to a halt right side up.
Rear. Last time it was a roofing nail in the tire, four weeks after the CRX picked up a drywall screw in its tire.
It's construction season out here
Yep, tire definitely moved on the rim. I can get my fingers in between the rim and the bead of the tire.
Right before rebuelling my bike I decided to ride around the block but hadn't checked the tire pressure. Coming down a rather steep hill there is the good ole mail man I go to get around him going about 20mph and the rear tire loses the bead. That will wake you up.
Good luck with it, I got two nails in 50 miles last october, I spent 45$ to have a pro put a plug in then 50miles later it got another one which I took car of with the 10$ kit. I was able to ride 20 miles with a nail in the tire to get home, what a pain, I was up in frisco going to do all the greatest rides "escape from the mission" "california ave hill climb" sightseeing of prostitutes and drug dealers on polk st, and general shiny happy personry, instead I had to limp 'er home.
You got spoke rims? Whats with the tubes?
Those damn Harley's. They always break down!!!
Seriously, I hate to hear that. Something like that can really ruin a day. I know. I ran out of gas last week in the middle of nowhere. First time ever. Seems those pesky German's made it so when the gas gauge says empty it's actually empty!
Yes, it's got spoke rims, hence the tube.
I'm now back home, bike is at the trusted mechanic (again, I'm guessing it likes it there) who's currently investigating what the problem is. No trace of nail or screw in the tire.
In reply to BoxheadTim:
Sounds like either the tube was bad(either when NIB or messed up during install) or you have a spoke that is snagging and puncturing the tube
Just got a call from the mechanic, inner tube failure. He's replaced it with one from another manufacturer. Hopefully that'll fix the problem for good.
He showed the tube to me, it actually had all the signs of a nice blowout. No wonder that things went flat fairly quickly.
Fwiw, not all tubes are the same. The Drag Specialty tube for example, doesn't seem prone to shattering the way many do. Much thicker as well. Not nail proof, but less likely to do catastrophic failure the way say the cheng-shin tubes will.
