Yep. My first bike.
I don't think all KZ-440s were belted. My son had one with a chain, but it did seem to sit lower than other standard bikes.

No, definitely not. Mine was an LTD, but not even all LTDs were belt drive.

It is pretty common on metric cruisers. Of current model bikes, the Kawasaki Vulcan 900, 1700 & 2000 are all belt drive. The Yamaha (Star) Roadstar and Roadliner are belt drive too.
My V-Star 950 is belt drive, as are most current Star models. (V-Max and V-Star are shafties, V-Star 250 is still a chain IIRC).
