thats a hell of a deal for a whole lotta bike. I bet it would run pretty damn nice times, and it would be great for vintage or nostalgia drag days or shows.

Supposedly it runs in the 170's.

The guy pitted next to me at Maxton was running a twin engine Harley.

$3500 but it isn't clear if it runs and there is no way to make it stop.

Chicken.

Actually, if you look closely at the pic I linked, you'll see a small chrome pedal pointing downwards which is the rear (only) brake pedal. Cream of 1970's drag bike engineering, that.

I'm trying to think of how to make that streetable. Would be awesome for cruising the local spots.

And to think they locked up Jack Kevorkian for assisting suicide!

Nah, the claim is similar bikes of that era ran the 170's. Which isn't exactly true. Cream of the crop multi-engine bikes of that era ran those speeds, others were slower.

It's not clear in the listing, but it seems this bike was build as a show piece, never to run, just to look at. It doesn't read like it's ever been started or ridden.

Which could explain why the bike is free and not locked up for murder

Looks like the "seat" is set up to grab important appurtnances when you leave over the handlebars.
