I have an interest in a certain "Brand New" 2010 Honda in a local shop's inventory. With only that limited bit of information, what percentage off would be a reasonable offer for a never-titled, zero miles 2010 bike?

When I bought my 2004 VFR, it was brand new and still in the crate, in 2007. I paid $6800 for it with a year of factory warranty. The sticker price was $10,500.
Something I did and thankfully didn't need; you can buy extra years of warranty when you pick up the bike. The shop I bought from had a sale going; 1/2 off warranty. I paid an extra $350 for two more years of warranty. I figured that since the bike had sat there unused for a while in the crate, I may have some seal or bearing go dry and need help early.
Honda had a lot of damaged 2004 VFR crates that were sold around Jan 1, 2007. They were auctioned to dealers in lots of 10. A local-ish dealership got some and wanted $7400 for theirs. I got my price by going to north-eastern Iowa to a shop that was great to work with over the phone. I bought the VFR without having ever ridden one. For the most part, I love the thing, and don't regret this at all.
Which Honda are you looking at?
I bought a brand new 2000 Yamaha R1 in late 2001. I paid $7500 (the total came to $82xx out the door) and I want to say the new ones where high 9k or low 10k.
I went in looking to buy a used CBR929 and they were VERY motivated to push me into the Yamaha ... I still have it and I am happy of how it worked out.
Okay, I screwed up. it's a 2011, not a 2010. Thing is, they're asking $3k. The 2013 version is 150cc, not 125, and the MSRP is $3500. It hardly seems worth saving $500 to take a model with a smaller engine and (in some ways) 2 more year's depreciation under it's belt.
Since sales tax would be about $250, I was thinking of offering $3000 out the door. What say you?
I don't think I'd pay more than 3K for a PCX125. I'd say they are in a relatively weak negotiating position, since the engine was upgraded pretty quicky after it was released, but then, I haven't bought a new bike in a while.
Cheapest new one I saw on Cycle Trader was listed at $2594, for sale in TN. After tax and fees, I'd assume it'd be around 3K. A whole lot of them advertised around 3200-3400. A lot of delusional powersport dealers out there...
