I can't figure out what I would use it for.

Now if it were electric...

Because it's awesome. And because you'd never see anyone riding one while wearing a glorified speedo and a rear-view mirror on their helmet.

Been lusting after one for a while now. But 1500$ plus a really good mountain bike for parts is to rich for my blood.

It is almost Grom money, or used Ninja 250 money in my neck of the woods.

That is cool, but I would not want the pedals. The videos look sick, huge wheelies under power. But you just know that they are 10% bike and 90% skill. I can do a pretty good motorcycle wheelie (dirt or street) and I can do a 1/4 mile wheelie on my mountain bike (pedaling). Doing a wheelie on a bike without pedaling is very hard and I suspect that the riders in the videos are very good at them. I have a TTR50 for my kid and can wheelie that, but it is no way a power wheelie. I know that you can get more power out of a XR50, but I can't see power wheelie power without gearing so low you will top out at 15 mph. That bike with a cr80 motor or CRF150R would be better, but then probably too much for mountain bike components.
