Currently I'm waiting to be approved or denied a track date coming up soon. Now I've bene in contact with someone from the track and I'm not sure how much pull he has in order to convince the track members to allow our van on their track. But according to the person I spoke with, he said he can fit me in during a maintenance schedule. There would be a 300.00 fee and I'll need a helmet which I'll be getting in route to this unknown track.
Just in case there are members here who have been approached by someone asking: "Hey I got this fellow who wanted to drive his Transit Connect around our track, So we need to take a vote on if we allow him to do this" Please vote accordingly and allow for my request to fullfill one of my bucket list tracks and just in case someone ask you to vote on allowing a 2020 Transit Connect your track, Thanks in advance. This means alot to me and the wife.
However, because I'm shy I'll prob end up wearing a mask as I do not wish to have my photograph taken.. please honor my wish and you may take as many photos of the van either while on the track or in the pit and maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones who voted to allow us on the track and witness something extraordinary.
Please respect our privacy and if you know what track this is, please keep that information out of the forum till after it happens..
I thought it best to post something now, because time is running out..
Still no word on if I'll be allowed to drive this new (3rd) track. I guess If I don;t hear anything back, we may just show up at the track with the documentation stating their proposal. But even if they don't allow us, I'm going to still get a new helmet from summitracing for future tracks next week and Yes I've been admitted to drive two other tracks but will have to wait till early fall to attempt those.

What I like is he gave them from 9pm until almost 6am the next morning to get back to him. I mean if they aren't willing to work during those hours do they honestly deserve his money?

I'm assuming they have not responded back because their schedule was full this past weekend.. But I just sent another email asking that they please have some sort of answer before this Thursday as we'll be leaving soon after and I'll have no other communications with them during our time on the road. Plus, We may just show up at the track in the hopes we wont be disappointed.. I'm still going to stop at summitracing for the helmet as I have other tracks later this year.

I'm not sure I fully understand the ask. Are you asking if someone here happens to be responsible for approving your vehicle for use on this undisclosed track?
To be honest, a Transit Connect is a tall, narrow vehicle. I wouldn't be surprised to encouter some big resistance to allowing it on track. Good luck.

Good to see you here.. and yes I've bene met with a lot of resistance in being allowed on any track.. but again if this new (3rd) track doesn't allow us, I still have two others that will. as for disclosing the track, I can't do that right now and ai posted a privicy issue above and wanted others to respect that till we finalize things. But again it should be obvious to some here that if someone within a group meeting asks other about allowing a small van on the track.. i guess I was hoping there was someone here form that track and would see that this is a legit request and can see picks of the van in my profile. I guess if I do not hear anything back before this Thru, I suspect we'll just show up on the date the fellow suggested and hope for the best. if not going to that track wasn't out of the way just on the way.
