Goodbye SC hello NC!
Side note I hate the Town and Country. The ride sucks, it is noisy, twitchy and the seats suck! My tail hurts!

New page.
Seems like a good time to share the Spot Finder link again for those who want to follow the GPS tracker.

I'm pretty sure you just described 90% of newer cars that aren't a sports car or high-end luxury car.
Seems like yall are making decent time. Waynesville, NC to Rocky Top, TN in around 2 hours is a fairly decent time especially with what looks like a gas stop in Knoxville.
Making good time. I checked in at 2am and you were in Lexington, KY. At least the trip up is going smoothly.
In Indy at 6am will put you in Gary, IN and Chicago traffic at 8am.
It may be wise to burn off an hour.
Here is a diner recommendation. Featured on DDD. http://www.foodnetwork.com/restaurants/in/west-lafayette/triple-x-restaurant-restaurant.html

No idea how that place got featured, must have been for the history and/or atmosphere, because it certainly wasn't for the food.
No idea and I have not been there but historically, I have had good luck with visiting places featured on DDD.
Sites like this makes it easy to find DDD places on a map.

I still think I would rather go there than another chain like Bob's or Cracker Barrel like you might find right off the hyw.
So what's the ETA on getting to the bus? We're just watching the previews here, I want to know when the show starts.

God I hate that place. It's the southern food version of getting Tex Mex in Minnesota.
In reply to Son_Of_Toyman:
Problem is you're too far north for the cooks to actually know how to cook them. Even if a restaurant outside of GA, SC, or maybe TN serves grits, you shouldn't order them. Stick to the hashbrown casserole.

True, but I like Taco Bell too.

So it wasn't just me.
Was surprised last time we ate there at how bad most of the food was. While never fine dining, it was normally always adequate comfort food. The last time though, almost everything was poor. The fried okra was almost all stems. The greens were extremely bitter and fibery. The dumplings were half raw. All three of us were going bleah to our meals.
