Photobucket has said it's down for maintenance for the last 8 hours. At least that's what it's been telling me. I'm getting grumpy.

I didn't see it, but I'm not very Facebook smart...

Of course it's a bad idea. This is the epicenter of bad ideas. But it is a grand idea and I wish I was riding along for the adventure. Second best is hearing/seeing/reading about it blow-by-blow. The good news is you've got a bunch of us rooting for you and standing by if we're needed to lend a hand with your grand, bad idea. We also want to see it transform into something brilliant.

Actually I think they need to post this over on Roadkills FB page.
Tomorrow morning we are repairing the turn signals and passenger side mirror and hitting the road.
Top speed is 60, down hill. It doesn't drive horrible, but I'm worried about the mountains. It is going to be a slow climb.
In reply to Toyman01:
If for any reason you guys decide to go down I-57, I'm just south of Kankakee. There's no snow here, so I have a driveway for you to do any repairs.
Maybe you will catch a nice tail wind as you start to bear to the east
I'm in zip code 48104, but I have a feeling you will be well south of me...

Fixed.
I'm running on 2 hours of sleep since Wednesday. I'm going to bed.
Things should look better in the morning.
Well we are done for the day. I am exhausted and so is Dad. We each got about 2 to 3 hrs sleep last night while taking turns (that was not uninterrupted). The trip to this point has been amazing and stage 2 I believe will be challenging but I believe there are still a few tricks left.
I agree with Dad the climb will be difficult but it if it was easy then anybody could do it.
Maybe I missed it, but was the exact model of the engine ever determined? I think that I read "FE", but that covers a pretty large spread of engines. IIRC, none of the truck FEs were bigger than 390 something ci. It could be as small as 330 something.
