We won’t blame you if the name Turner doesn’t ring a bell–fewer than 700 were built, according to Hagerty. This 1960 Turner Sports MKI stands out, as it comes powered by a BMC-sourced 1275cc engine instead of the Austin or Coventry Climax powerplants the cars were given from the factory.

Finished in British Racing Green over a green-and-black interior, this Turner features Weber carburetors and American Racing Silverstone magnesium wheels.

Find this 1960 Tuner MKI available from Wire Wheel Classic Sports Cars for $13,900.

Very nice example. But would those old AR Silverstone magnesium wheels still be safe to use??? While they look like a great period wheel they do become brittle with age.

They came in both magnesium and aluminum alloy. They were offered in North America as options for TR4s (and the last TR3s). I ran a set of magnesium ones for twenty years without problems. I made sure to have them crack checked every once in awhile.

This is one on my TVR Grantura race car (the threaded portion for the faux spinner - which you couldn't leave on for racing anyway - was cracked by some pillock at a tire shop, so I machined them all off).

Similarly, these stock mags on another of my cars (Italian) were magnesium and we had no reports of any failures. I had them stripped, crack tested and resprayed when I bought the car, just for safety).  They are all 50+ years old now.  You are right to advise caution, though!
