48-cylinder (yes, seriously) motorcycle heading to auction

If it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing, right? That seems to have been the idea behind the Whitelock “Tinker Toy,” a 48-cylinder motorcycle.

Comprised of 16 Kawasaki three-cylinder, two-stroke engines–totaling 4.2 liters–the Tinker Toy holds the Guinness World Record of “Vehicle engine with the most cylinders.”

Currently valued at £40,000-£60,000, the 2003 Whitelock Tinker Toy is set to cross the auction block at the Bonhams Spring Stafford Sale in April.

I somehow hear the voice of Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor in the background.

Museum display, obviously not driveable... Can't reach the handlebars, cylinders would roast your legs like a barbeque grill.   Helluva effort though...!!!

That seems a tad excessive.
