Looking for an inexpensive venue to run your vintage race car? Atlanta Motorsports Park in Dawsonville, Georgia, is now offering “affordable sports car racing” during the following days:
Each event will consist of three 20-minute races, an autocross session, a drag race session, a pursuit race and an “end of day social.”
The events are limited to two classes of maximum displacement, one being 1.6 liters and the other 2.5 liters. Tech requirements will be released soon, but safety gear like roll bars, fire-suppression systems, helmets and remote shut-off switches are required. All cars must run quieter than 98 decibels.
Previous racing experience is required, though no specific license is needed. There's no membership fee, either, as $250 covers all events.
Anyone with questions is encouraged to contact Greg Kimbrough at (770) 367-2611.
