The 2022 Put-in-Bay Sports Car Races welcomed 133 entries, with a record number of female participants. The event celebrated the original road races sanctioned on the island from 1952-1959 by the Cleveland Sport Car Club.

A worthwhile long haul: George Pardee's MG Y won best of show popular vote. He and his wife, Ellen, drove up from Tampa, Florida, a 2000-plus-mile round trip.

Women make their mark: This year's event attracted its largest number of women participants ever. Leaders of Group 5 (from left to right) consisted of Vignesh Ramanathan (3rd), "Wonder Woman" Amber Stephenson (1st) and Sharon Cox (2nd).

Pony race: The two Mustangs of Michael Sedlak (1968 Ford Mustang, foreground) and Cory Barack (1966 Ford Mustang 2+2) dueled throughout the event.

Winner again: For the second consecutive year, Sam Halkias in his 1971 Triumph TR6 won the Cup race. The car's livery paid tribute to legendary actor and racer Paul Newman.

Great pics! Great historic venue. (Rarely do I see an MG TF vintage racing). I want to see this event one of these years. I wonder if our forum friend "bravenrace" was there?
