The W126-chassis S-Class, Mercedes-Benz's range-topping sedan built from 1979 through 1991, was available to consumers in four-door (SE), two-door (SEC) and long-wheelbase versions (SEL). A few different engine options could also be had, from a 2.7-liter M110 inline-six to a 5.5-liter M117 V8.
This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC is an example of the most powerful model in the S-Class range of the time, equipped with an M117 V8 good for about 275 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque.
Said to be in "immaculate" condition, this 560 SEC comes equipped with H&R aftermarket springs, European-style headlights, clear corner markers, AMG bumpers and 16-inch wheels.
It current wears 151,000 miles on the odometer, and the listing insists that the car has been "very well maintained by careful owners," having been serviced at the same dealership "since 2010."
The offer also points that that the only known flaws are cracking in the front lower ball joint boots and a broken latch on the lower center console cover.
