The Lotus Elise is already well known for its lightweight design and midship athleticism, but customers looking for a little more oomph did have one option: the supercharged Elise SC.
By adding a supercharger to the Toyota-sourced inline-four, the Elise SC was capable of around 218 horsepower and has been reported to be able to reach 60 mph from a standstill in less than 4.5 seconds.
This 2008 Lotus Elise SC is one such example, and it's said to currently have only 32,000 miles on its odometer.
The listing notes that the Lotus comes equipped with Probax seats and SC-specific alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires.
Finished in Solar Yellow over a black interior, this 2008 Lotus Elise SC is available from Wire Wheel Classic Sports Cars for $42,900.
