The story goes that the plan for the C4-chassis Corvette ZR-1 was simple: make it the fastest production car available. Considering that the production model could go from zero to 60 in less than five seconds and reach a top speed of more than 180 mph, it might be safe to say that the design team succeeded. As well, the ZR-1 (in stock form) would later go on to set a number endurance speed records, the most notable being an average top speed of over 175 mph for 24 hours.
This 1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 offers that same level of performance, and is even reported as only having 21,584 miles on its odometer.
Noted as being “a very nice example of one of the final 448 C4 ZR1s produced in 1995,” the Corvette is said to be “very well cared for.” The exterior paint “looks new,” with the interior in “like-new condition.”
The seller notes that the transmission was rebuilt in 2013, and that the car comes fitted with an aftermarket flywheel and a Billy Boat exhaust.
