Built as a limited-edition version of the Mustang, the GT/CS “California Special” was, more or less, a styling package for the Mustang. Features included hood pins, deck lid spoiler, sequential taillights and GT/CS side graphics.
Most, like this 1968 Ford Mustang GT/CS, were powered by a small-block 289 V8 backed by three-speed “Cruise-O-Matic” automatic transmission—though could be configured with virtually any engine offered for the Mustang.
This specific example shows 31,223 miles and comes equipped with air conditioning, power disc brakes and power steering. As well, the seller notes that the Mustang is believed to have had a ground-up restoration “per the previous owner.”
