Since its inception in the 1960s, Formula Ford has existed as a major steppingstone for drivers interested in competing in Formula 1. A few major manufactures specially built cars to be used in the series, namely Lotus.
This 1969 Lotus 61 is one such car built to compete in the feeder series, and is reported to have “only 5 hours of running time” since it was restored by Indiana-based Gary Dausch.
Finished with a Gold Leaf Team Lotus livery, the 61 is powered by a 1600 Ford Kent engine mated to a Hewland/Webster transmission.
Find this 1969 Lotus 61 for sale from Wire Wheel Classic Sports Cars for $26,900.
