I wish I could buy it and then rip a fat burnout leaving the auction house, blow out those original tires, and then go bolt on a supercharger the next day.
Time capsule or not, it's a Mustang after all.
Talk about a time capsule: This 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra comes with fewer than 700 miles and still wears its factory tires. Said to be completely unmodified, this Cobra develops 235 horsepower, thanks to SVT equipping the venerable 5.0-liter V8 with trick cylinder heads. Hagerty values a No. 2 example around $33,000, with a No. 1 potentially fetching more than $50,000. The SVT Cobra will be on offer at Mecum's Chicago sale October 24-26.
