Where Colin Chapman’s previous Lotus race cars made do with smaller engines—like the ones produced by Coventry Climax—the Lotus 30 was powered by a small-block Ford V8.
This 1964 Lotus 30 is a unique version of that car, as this one is said to have a number of upgrades from the later Lotus 40 such as “brakes, wheels, suspension, Hewland LG 600 gearbox, cooling system & aero dynamic changes.”
The listing explains that this Lotus has competed and earned podium finishes at a number of tracks including Watkins Glen, Lime Rock Park, Thompson Motorsports Park and Circuit of the Americas.
Noted as being “extremely competitive” and “ready to race,” this 1964 Lotus 30 is available from Maine Line Exotics for $249,000.
