Car Catcher: A Well-Driven, One-Of-114 Fiat 8V Coupé

Sponsored article presented by RM Sotheby's.

Built between 1952 and 1954, only 114 examples of Fiat's iconic V8-powered sports car are said to have been built.

Earlier versions were equipped with a 104-horsepower engine, with later versions coming with a 113-horsepower powerplant.

This 1954 Fiat 8V Coupé—chassis number 104—is said to have spent most of its life in the United Kingdom.

Reported to be fitted with its original engine, this 8V has been "used and enjoyed on both road and track" at events such as the 2015 Goodwood Revival and the 2016 Vernasca Silver Flag.

Sometime before its participation at the Goodwood Revival, the original transmission was replaced with a custom synchromesh gearbox, with the original transmission included in the sale.

Find this 1954 Fiat 8V Coupé available on RM Sotheby's as part of its Open Roads, The European Summer Auction.
