Explore New York’s Finger Lakes on our all-new Empire State Tour

What better way to experience the natural splendor of New York’s Finger Lakes Region than from behind the wheel of your favorite classic car with your friends from Classic Motorsports?

That’s why we’re excited to announce our all-new Empire State Tour, tentatively set for July 14-19, 2024. While we work out the finer details, here’s what we have planned so far for our inaugural driving tour of upstate New York:

  • A hub-style tour based at the Hotel Ithaca in downtown Ithaca
  • The opportunity to drive your classic car on the original Watkins Glen race track (and most likely the newer track as well)
  • Experience the local vineyards with stops at the Taughannock, Shequaga and Hector falls
  • Explore the Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum in Canandaigua and the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum
  • Travel through the Pharsalia Woods and McDonough state forests to visit the Northeast Classic Car Museum

Wowza!  One of my favorite touring areas in the U.S. of A.   I'm imagining the Outlaw Bug, top open,  along the shores of Lake Seneca....

I spent quite a bit of my childhood and college days in that area. It's the perfect place to put the top down to take in all the beautiful scenery.

Neat.  I've done a similar tour of the area as part of America's British Reliability Run.   The NECCM is a neat stop - a lot to see there.  Driving the Old Course is always fun.

Next time, hopefully. Love to see the Bug up in the mountains roaring around.
