Formula 1 class coming to the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion

Want to see historic Formula 1 cars in their natural state? You know, like on track? Well, the 2025 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion will assemble a special Formula 1 exhibition class. This class consists of cars from 1966-1985, and will take on the famed Corkscrew of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on August 13-16.

So far, event organizers have confirmed three entries.

• 1958 Vanwall VW5/11: driven to victory by Sir Stirling Moss and Tony Brooks.

• 1966 Eagle Mk 1 Climax Chassis 101: Dan Gurney, Phil Hill and Bob Bondurant took turns in this car.

• 1967 Lotus Type 49 R2/R11: Jim Clark won in this car in its debut at Zandvoort. He also scored victories at Silverstone and Watkins Glen.
