A last-minute change in venue due to Hurricane Milton has reshaped this year’s Smoky Mountain Tour. Instead of Asheville, the tour will be based on the other side of the Smokies in Chattanooga. As a result, the June 8-12 tour will showcase new roads and attractions.
Starting with what is arguably the finest venue, the Westin Chattanooga, the area is blessed with great restaurants less then 300 feet from the hotel. From a dreamy roof-top bar to some of the best hotel food we have ever been able to serve, this venue offers everything we look for in a tour venue.
Within just a few miles sits the world-class Coker Collection. Also nearby: the extensive collection of race and street cars owned by Chattanooga Concours founder Byron DeFoor.
Moving just a bit further from the city, we found fantastic roads that range from so twisty they’ll make your head spin to relaxing drives through stunning mountain valleys.
This five-day tour–with four days of driving–will head to the famous Tail of the Dragon and the equally challenging Cherohola Skyway. In between, we’ll hit other curvy roads few know about.
Other attractions will include Civil War battle fields, beautiful Falls Creek Waterfall and the Savoy, an amazing new museum in Cartersville, Georgia.
This tour is limited to just 20 cars due to the intimate venues, and we have two spots left. Details are at classicmotorsportsroadtours.com/smt
The Classic Motorsports Smoky Mountain Tour is presented by Sunoco in association with Chubb Insurance.
